Zebra Resilience: Lysiane de Nadaillac, Resilience Nutrition

Whatever our struggles are, our challenges, our fears… we are not alone.

This month, we're discussing "resilience" with the Zebra community. Sechelt, British Columbia, Zebra community member Lysiane de Nadaillac—of the aptly named Resilience Nutrition—provided a Zebra’s view of the topic.

First, let's hear about the Zebra that you’re building.

I've created Resilience Nutrition and an online program to help hard-working and ambitious Millinneal women who work in creative industries and roles recover from—and avoid—burnout so they don't have to leave their career. I want a big impact across the world because the Film, TV, Gaming, Radio, Podcast, Print, Fashion, Performing Arts industries all need female and feminine voices to carry on the experience and point of view of 50% of the global population.

By strengthening their self-esteem, empowering them to honor their needs and desires, and inspiring them to go after their goals, I hope to do my part in building more resilience among young creative women today.

What does resiliency mean to you, specifically as a Zebra?

I believe that our small businesses can be like mycellium in the forest of our community. We can nourish and heal each and every one of our community members, support one another—even from afar—with multiple strains of resources. Whatever our struggles are, our challenges, our fears, we are not alone. There's always someone who has gone through the same and can provide a solution so we can bounce back faster, more efficiently and united.

What helps you to stay resilient?

The community I've created over the years that supports me, comforts me, holds me accountable, guides me and keeps me positive. That is my partner, mother ,and my best friends. But it also includes my counselor, my acupuncturist, my neighbor, my mentor, my coach, my local farmer, and my financial adviser.
